Mainly kimmeridgian limestone with some flinty clay at St Andelain and
areas of Portland clay. Alluvial deposits are to be found beside the Loire.
Approx. 40 hl/ha from vines with an average
age of 35 years.
Pneumatic presses are used to ensure
the most gentle pressure which is gradually exerted
on the grapes.
The must is carefully selected and, after allowing
it to settle naturally, undergoes temperature controlled fermentation.
The wine is bottled one year after.
